Mediwizyta was born out of a desire to help people who are ill in a supportive and comfortable home environment. We provide assistance in cases of sudden illness, inability to get to an outpatient clinic or distant appointments with existing doctors. We operate with a specialised staff of family medicine physicians, internists, paediatricians and other specialists who are qualified to perform teleportation and home visits. Our staff carry out consultations as comprehensively as possible and within the scope of their qualifications, determining the further course of action on this basis.

How do I prepare for a phone advice and home visit?
Our consultations do not require any special preparation. All you need is an identity card or other identification document with your PESEL number and, if a ZUS ZLA form is required, your employer’s NIP number. It will also be helpful to have your medical records from previous treatment, including test results, X-rays, hospital discharges and any other documents that give the doctor an idea of your health condition and medical history.
Course of the examination
The examination carried out at the patient’s home does not differ from that carried out in the practice. It consists of a personal examination, i.e. a medical history, as well as a physical examination including auscultation, percussion, measurement of blood pressure, temperature, etc.
As there is no physical contact between the patient and the doctor, telemedicine is based mainly on a subjective examination (history) and a visual assessment of the patient’s complaints. It is also possible to consult examination results, hospital discharges, or to send photographs of e.g. skin lesions requiring assessment by e-mail.
Following these procedures, a diagnosis is made during both the home visit and the telemedicine consultation, and a decision is made on further clinical management and treatment. If necessary, the doctor will also write a prescription or referral for ancillary examinations and, in justified cases, an exemption from work or school.
