Diabetes mellitus is a disease that, due to its increasing incidence in every age group, has been described as a disease of civilisation. Its treatment is a multifaceted and long-term process and therefore requires regular specialist consultations. They are aimed at analysing current test results and assessing the effectiveness of current therapy, selecting appropriate pharmacological treatment, as well as broadly understood education. The diabetes consultation is also aimed at people who notice worrying symptoms, including chronic fatigue, feelings of lethargy and apathy, frequent urination, constant thirst, sudden attacks of hunger, weight loss, as well as deterioration of vision. The consultation does not require any special preparation, but it is a good idea to send the doctor your test results before the teleportation, as well as to have your notes on your current state of health at hand and to write down any questions you may have.

Realising that the need to be constantly under the doctor’s supervision can be somewhat burdensome for patients with diabetes, we have created the diabetology teleportation service. This form of consultation makes it possible to quickly obtain a prescription, a referral for further diagnostics or answers to burning questions and doubts, and thus significantly facilitates life with this chronic disease. An additional advantage is that it saves a lot of time, avoids stress and guarantees a fast service.

Safety and professionalism

Diabetes telemedicine is no different from a traditional office visit. As in the outpatient clinic, the doctor conducts a thorough interview with the patient, analyses all test results and only on this basis formulates further recommendations. As a result, there are no doubts about prescribed drug doses or other elements of therapy. What is more, all the information obtained from the patient is entered into the patient’s medical system by the specialist, thus creating a coherent and complete treatment history.
