This form of medical consultation will undoubtedly appeal to busy people, the elderly who find it difficult or even impossible to get to the clinic, as well as parents of young children and chronically ill patients. It should be stressed here, however, that although telemedicine will be sufficient in many situations, it also has certain limitations. Therefore, in cases that require it, it may be necessary to refer the patient to an inpatient visit or further examination.
